If you have decided to stop eating meat/reduce meat consumption that’s great and I’m very happy for you.
It is not an easy switch, in practical terms, and requires a lot of determination and patience. Mentally, you are already there, you have made your choice, now you just have to stick to it.
Couple of aspects you need to be prepared for (some of them may not apply to you):
Family – they tend to live in denial for quite some time. They’ll be trying to persuade you to try this or that ‘special’ and so delicious meat dish, just a little bit, as it surely can’t hurt… Just be consistent and they will come around, and accept the ‘new you’. You have the right to be different. Continue reading
I’ve added couple of extremely easy recipes to the Recipes section of ‘Your Instinct’:
Tagliatelle with Tangy Courgette Sauce
Spinach, Mushrooms and Pine Kernels Pasta
Spinach is such a versatile vegetable and can be used in a wide variety of recipes. This healthy green vegetable is full of vitamins, minerals, fiber and low in calories. It’s especially important for vegans and vegetarians due to its high calcium and iron content, easier to absorb in cooked spinach. Lutein, a carotenoid found in spinach, can help protect against eye diseases and cannot be absorbed unless accompanied by fat. Continue reading
Deep down a lot of us know already that there is something wrong with the way we live and what we eat. We wonder why we crave the things that are not good for us, things that make us ill or generally not well. When we don’t give our bodies the proper nutrients we are in a vicious circle, with the body always wanting more food, as it’s not properly nourished, so we consume yet another portion of ‘barren’ food. This so called ‘junk food’ affect our brains, leads to confusion, mood swings, low levels of energy and concentration.
The very first question we all need to ask is ‘where does our food come from’, we really shouldn’t need another ‘horse meat scandal’ to open our eyes. We need to start thinking consciously and appreciate what process went into the food we have on our plate. Make an effort, visit a farmers’ market or a local farmer’s shop, talk to some real farmers. There is a lot of information on the internet too, including videos, there are no excuses nowadays for ‘not knowing’. If you are struggling to find time to do your research, think again, what can be more important that knowing about the food you consume which is used to rebuilt your whole body, cell by cell. If you are caring for somebody, do it for them, although if you are not looking after yourself properly, it may lead to your own illness. There is nothing more important for survival than the air, water and food. Give it the attention it deserves. Continue reading
I’ve updated a Frequently Asked Questions‘ section on Your Instinct. There are currently just a few questions and answers there, but they will get updated.
As the whole site is about vegetarian food and its benefits to various aspects of life, so are the FAQs.

I’ve read quite a lot on the subject and also developed my own opinion. As much as I respect other people’s views, I strongly believe that the ‘conventional medicine’ is not the answer, as it only treats the symptoms, not the causes. I do appreciate that it is difficult to establish a single factor that contributed to an illness, including cancer, however not exploring or even considering different options is a very narrow minded approach which may be seen as not really caring.
People who are trying to present some different views on the subject are perceived as arrogant by vast majority, especially medical professionals. It is important not to get intimidated and be quite persistent. It will be more difficult when we are actually presented with so called ‘life-death’ situation, therefore it is advisable to get educated beforehand. This article What Is Cancer? is quite good and not too long, and may be a good starting point. Continue reading
This will be the theme for my second website which is currently under development.
Once you start giving your body the nutrients it requires, you will heal yourself from any ‘junk-food’ cravings and your mind becomes so much clearer. You will be amazed with the results. This is when you are ready and able to understand how the ‘system’ works. You will be determined to make some further changes to your life, like learning to cook or grow your own vegetables and fruits. Some of those things would have seemed impossible to implement in the past, but the ‘new you’ will definitely be up for the challenge. At some point you may even decide to turn off your TV, it’s quite important to recognise what effects it has on our brains and health in general. Continue reading
