Let’s get growing
Some of you may have noticed that recently the updates on my blog are not as often as they used to be. This is due to the spring (finally) arriving here, in the UK, so I was able to start our vegetable and fruit growing for this year!
I have mentioned earlier that I try to grow my own food as much as can and I would encourage everyone to give it a go. When you grow your own fruits and vegetables you can ensure that the food is grown organically, as you shouldn’t be using any non-organic chemicals around your crop.
You don’t have to have a big garden to grow your own, you can use a patio, window seal or apply for an allotment. Try on a smaller scale and see how you get on. It is truly very rewarding and therapeutic.
Another benefit is that it is so much cheaper than buying organic produce plus you save on your monthly gym membership 😉
A major factor is also a taste, you cannot compare any fruit or vegetable freshly picked with its equivalent bought in a shop or even a market. Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself.
Good luck and feel free to share your experiences!
